To preserve the beauty and integrity of your Aston & Elm™ piece for generations to come, we recommend the following care:

• Routine Dusting: Gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry microfiber or lint-free cotton cloth. Avoid using abrasive sponges or feather dusters that may scratch the bespoke finish.
• Managing Spills: Timber is a natural, breathing material. Should a spill occur, immediately blot the liquid with a clean, slightly damp cloth, wiping strictly in the direction of the wood grain. Dry thoroughly.
• Surface Protection: To protect the hand-finished patina, always use felt pads, coasters, or placemats under ceramics, glassware, and hot items. Never leave damp objects or vases directly on the timber.
• Climate & Placement: Wood naturally expands and contracts with changes in humidity. To prevent warping or fading of the whitewash finish, position your furniture away from direct, prolonged sunlight, heating vents, and air conditioning units.
• Nourishing the Timber: To maintain the rich texture of the wood grain and protect the surface, we recommend applying a premium, clear furniture wax every six to twelve months. Apply sparingly with a soft cloth in the direction of the grain, allowing it to deeply nourish the timber before gently buffing to a soft luster.
